"In January 2013, I was diagnosed with stage 2, grade 9, invasive ductal carcinoma. My invasive tumor was the size of a quarter. I had a lymph node involvement. My treatment included double mastectomy, chemotherapy and tamoxifen. By June 2013, I completed chemotherapy rounds and graduated as a speech language pathologist – a 6 year journey I started for my son. In December 2013, I ran a 5K Christmas run in a time of 19:16.
